They have been farming since 1966, starting with 6 cows and growing to the current herd size. The Millers are active members in Agrimark, CT Farm Bureau, New England Dairy Promotion and are strong advocates for New England Dairy Farming. Wesley Smith, dairy manager since 2016, has helped with the development of Guardian Genetics at Fairvue Farms. Guardian Genetics started as an embryo recipient program but has grown to include donors and an IVF program marketing cows, embryos and genetics to Bermuda, Pakistan, Canada and throughout the USA. The last 3 years, Fairvue has transferred 1400 embryos/year. Currently, 25% of the herd is made up of registered Holsteins. Milk production daily average is 85-90 lbs/cow/day.
